General

Overview

Soliloquy is quiet and shy, preferring to avoid others. She doesn't like other equids due to bad experiences in her past, and has trouble making friends. She does have a few friends, who she's very close with. Most only know her as quiet, reclusive, and antisocial, but her friends get to see her playful side. She tends to be intellectual, and prefers to study others from afar rather than get to know them up close. She's very smart, but lacks confidence and is insecure about herself, so she doesn't voice her opinions very often. She doesn't take well to insults, they get to her right away and crush her. She has a good sense of humour when she opens up, and is quick to make snappy remarks.

History

Soliloquy was born high in the mountains on cool a fall day. She was tiny and delicate, and her mother was amazed at her beautiful and unique colours and quipping. She named her Soliloquy.

Now, we all know how the most of the world often takes to things that are both beautiful and different: cruelly. As Soliloquy began to grow up, her intelligence and beauty became more and more obvious. Many of the other colts and fillies she met grew jealous. As jealous individuals do, they mocked her and made fun of her, conjuring up lies and calling her "ugly", "stupid", and "useless". She never told her mother or anyone else because she believed them. It got so bad that she began to think her mother must be ashamed of her, and that when she said that she loved her, she was lying to comfort her. And so when she was only 6 months old, she ran away. Being both small and smart, she was easily able to avoid being found. And she left the mountains forever, journeying to the plains at their foothills. She swore to never go back. She still lives there to this day.
